About the Role
As a Platform Engineer, you will design, operate, and enhance the data center and networking platforms that power our mission-critical systems. Working closely with platform, security, and application teams, you will build secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure across on-prem and hybrid environments, while driving automation, improving reliability, and ensuring smooth connectivity between systems and cloud platforms.
Requirements
Key Responsibilites
• Data Center Infrastructure
o Design, operate, and maintain on-premise data center infrastructure (compute,storage, networking).
o Manage infrastructure lifecycle, capacity planning, and hardware refresh activities.
o Design and operate high availability (HA) and standby architectures.
o Ensure infrastructure readiness for Kubernetes and enterprise platforms.
• Networking
o Design, configure, and operate enterprise networking (L2/L3, VLANs, routing,switching).
o Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, static routing).
o Operate firewalls, load balancers, reverse proxies, and ingress solutions.
o Implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
o Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across data centers and cloudenvironments.
• Hybrid & Cloud Connectivityo Design and operate hybrid connectivity between on-prem data centers and cloudplatforms.
o Implement secure connectivity such as VPNs and private links.
o Support cloud networking concepts and integrations with on-prem infrastructure.
• Automation & Platform Engineeringo Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure and networking.
o Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible (preferred) and Terraform.
o Create standardized, reusable infrastructure and network services.
o Improve platform reliability and consistency through automation.
• Operations & Reliabilityo Provide L2/L3 support for infrastructure and networking platforms.
o Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
o Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
o Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
• Security
o Apply infrastructure and network security best practices.
o Support TLS, certificate management, and secure communication patterns.
o Collaborate with security teams on audits, compliance, and hardening initiatives.
